Emergency preparedness requires strengthening community capacities and considering the needs of all individuals, especially those in vulnerable conditions. Within the framework of PROERI, 189 people were trained with the goal of strengthening their capabilities for comprehensive emergency and disaster prevention and response.

Under PROERI, UNOPS and UNDRR are advancing actions to strengthen the resilience of public infrastructure in Costa Rica. Through a workshop with key public sector stakeholders and international organizations, participants exchanged knowledge and lessons learned on integrating risk-informed approaches into resilient infrastructure projects.
